Too often hospitals are choosing policy over life-affirming measures for patients. Doctors and healthcare consultants must have the independence to care for their patients without interference by hospital financial incentive. Providers treating patients with tremendous success are having their licenses threatened unless they strictly adhere to government protocols. Many quality (and law-abiding) providers believe in informed consent and treating the patient instead of the diagnosis. What if the government-approved protocols are actually harming people, or failing to treat certain aspects of a disease? There must be another way.
